Norhaslinda currently holds the position of Associate Professor and serves as a dedicated researcher within the Decision Science Department at the School of Quantitative Sciences at Universiti Utara Malaysia. Her primary research focus centers around employing system dynamics simulations to address a diverse array of policy-related matters, spanning domains such as health, agriculture, transportation, manufacturing, and public policy.
Her research endeavors have encompassed a wide range of subjects, including in-depth examinations of health concerns like obesity, tobacco usage, and dengue outbreaks, as well as investigations into topics such as vehicle inspection wait times, palm oil and paddy agriculture, road congestion and planning, takaful insurance, and manufacturing time completion.
Her work often involves the integration of system dynamics with multiple modeling methods [e.g. Genetic Algorithmn, Artificial Neural Network, The Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), Linear Programming, and Discrete Event Simulation (DES)] where the aim is to provide robust decision support tools. In recent research of simulation problems, real cases are more prominent since the problems are more complex thus represent real situation.
Such intricate problems hold immense potential to significantly advance the research landscape, leading to substantial contributions. Hence, her research mostly focus on the complexity of real cases and solved them mathematically. Consequently, these efforts not only facilitate impactful research outcomes and scholarly publications but also elevate opportunities for consultation services

Nor Aishah is an accomplished Associate Professor and researcher in the Mathematics and Statistics Department at the School of Quantitative Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia. Her expertise lies in various areas of statistics, including robust statistics, discriminant analysis, inferential statistics, statistical modeling, and nonparametric techniques. Her primary focus is on investigating the performance and application of diverse statistical analysis procedures. One of her major contributions is the development of robust statistical tests for univariate analysis, presenting viable alternatives to classical parametric and nonparametric methods for comparing groups. Recently, she has been actively involved in enhancing the Pearson correlation through a reweighted approach, resulting in the Reweighted correlation coefficient. This new technique has the remarkable capability of identifying and transforming outliers into inliers without excluding any observations from the analysis. In the realm of discriminant analysis, her current study revolves around introducing a robust discriminant rule to effectively classify observations into its corresponding group. While she frequently employs simulation data in her work, she also has a keen interest in real data analysis such as classifying UUM staff based on their risk of obtaining hypertension. Moreover, her research extends to other areas such as quality control and multivariate analysis.
