YRQS2019: Progressing Quantitative Research towards Sustainable Future

 

A total of 56 participants attended The 2nd Young Researchers’ Quantitative Symposium themed 'Progressing Quantitative Research towards Sustainable Future: Creating a Sustainable Future' on Nov 20, 2019. The main objective of the symposium is to provide platform for young researchers to share their knowledge while establishing a network of fellow researchers in quantitative science. Keynote talks by Mr. Zaidi Osman, Bina Darulaman Berhad Head of Human Resources Department and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazihah Ahmad, Senior Lecturer of Mathematics, School of Quantitative Sciences, UUM, poster exhibitions, and parallel sessions were among the events on that day. This symposium chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syariza Abdul Rahman has also presented 7 awards for best poster and presenters’ categories.

A total of 114 participants and 26 lecturers attended a keynote talk by Mr. Zaidi Osman, Head of Human Resources at Bina Darulaman Berhad and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nazihah Ahmad, Senior Lecturer in Mathematics, School of Quantitative Science (SQS UUM), on November 20, 2019.

This keynote talk was organized at the 2nd Seminar Hall, SQS was a complementary to The 2nd Young Researchers’ Quantitative Symposium themed 'Progressing Quantitative Research towards Sustainable Future: Creating a Sustainable Future'. Throughout this symposium, undergraduates and postgraduates are able to showcase their research at university level. Also, they can explore new fields of quantitative that are related with their research interest.
