SQS STUDENTS RECEIVE LEADERSHIP AND BEST PROJECT (COMMUNITY SERVICE) AWARDS

Sintok, 29 Nov: "The core objective of education today should be to enable students to flourish in the challenging world of the 21st century, in their personal lives, in civic society, and in the workplace. In enabling students to flourish and to realise their full potential, we should seek to stimulate curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity" - Prof. Brian MacCraith, Dublin City University.

At SQS, we prepare our students to flourish in the complex world beyond academic skills, and SQS Students Association or simply QuSaC is our platform that contributes to the life and fabric of the university and the wider community. Recent recognitions received by QuSaC committee members in the event of Anugerah Kerana Jasa Persatuan/Kelab PPA UUM CAS 2019 at EDC Hotel & Resorts Sintok on November 29 have shown that leadership skill yields personal benefits to those involved. On this note, congratulations to Ahmad Afiq Iqmal Ahmad Saidi and Nur Amirah Sofea who have been awarded with 'Anugerah Kepimpinan Harapan (Mahasiswa & Mahasiswi)'. Also, a Math Camp project organised by QuSaC has won another award under the Best Program (Community Service) category. It was led by Siti Zuhairah Abdul Rahman who drove the delivery of the joyful event. Their enthusiasm and commitment in organising the meaningful and impactful projects coupled with their personal involvement must be applauded.

It is hoped that many more new talents from our school will be spotted soon and the recognitions inspire them to get involved in the future programmes! Thanks to the QuSaC team for making us proud!
