This unique programme implements a holistic approach in data analysis by including both quantitative and qualitative aspects, plus variety of methods through hands-on approach.
This programme will produce data analyst who is capable of analysing a diversity of data that is very much needed in the industries specifically in research and development (R&D). Quality research findings triggered the innovation and this is important to become a developed nation by 2020.

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN DATA ANALYSIS (COURSEWORK)
A Bachelor’s degree with honours from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognized by the University Senate with a CGPA of at least 2.50; OR
A Bachelor’s degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia or any other institutions of higher learning recognized by the University Senate with a CGPA of 2.00 to 2.49 and with at least three (3) years relevant work experience, subject to an interview by the Postgraduate Comittee; OR
Candidates without a qualification in the related fields or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the programme and meet the minimum CGPA based on (a) to (b) OR
a diploma from any institutions or higher learning recognised by the University Senate with at least ten (10) years of work relevant experience, 35 years or older and passed APEL assessment (level 7); OR
Any other equivalent qualifications recognized by the University Senate; AND
Fulfil the English Language requirement as set by the University Senate.
