Last week, Prof. Dr. Haslinda Ibrahim from School of Quantitative Sciences, Universiti Utara Malaysia visited the School of Science and Engineering, Al Alakhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco from 28 October 2022 to 3 November 2022. The visit was specially meant to do some research work in collaboration with Associate Professor Dr. El Mostafa Kalmoun from SSE faculty on the application of a newly developed sequence, called the wing sequence,in developing a new variant of a public-key encryption scheme. The research was supported by the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (Unravel Hidden Pattern of Flip-Flops Wings: Butterfly Sequence for Key Generation Algorithms - FRGS SO Code14855). Some initial ideas for encrypting and decrypting data and planning to accomplish this task were discussed.
On October 28, Prof. Ibrahim had a meeting with Prof. Fouad Chaatit, interim Dean of SSE, to explore common research interests and potential collaborative projects. Later, on October 31, she met Dr Brian Seilstad, Director of Internationalization & Partnership, to discuss potential student mobility between Al Akhawayn University and Universiti Utara Malaysia.
On the last day of her visit, Prof. Dr. Haslinda gave a guest lecture entitled "Infusion of combinatorial theory in developing butterfly related family and ExDiD teach process".
